Functional Pilates exercises are exercises that teach the basic movement principles upon which Pilates and other exercises build. These principals establish torso and pelvic stability, abdominal engagement, good alignment, and greater range of motion for the limbs which translate directly into better posture and graceful, efficient movement in everyday life.
If you haven't tried Pilates, this is a great place to start.
